LYKKE CHAIR
The objective of this project was to create a chair or similar piece of furniture that would meet the following criteria: the ability to be flat-packed, ergonomic design, composed of natural materials. It should explore the relation between structure and simplicity, creating a piece that blends comfort with modern aesthetics.

A mood board was created to foster a sense of clarity for how the furniture piece should feel. Emphasis is on natural materials such as exposed wood and leather, and an open and inviting feeling incorporated into the form.

These concepts were selected for further exploration.
The criteria for selection were simplicity of form, manufacturability, and ease of packaging and assembly.
FINAL SELECTION
This option was selected because of it’s ability to be flat-packed and assembled by the user, the sleek and modern form, the comfort of the user, and the exposed natural materials.
