Graco Nest+Go Baby Carrier
Project Overview
This conceptual project explores inclusive design within the Graco infant mobility product category, focusing on creating a child transportation device tailored for a child with special needs. The work centers on universal design principles, using research into a specific condition to develop a detailed user persona and define accessibility, safety, and usability requirements.
Building on prior studies in ergonomics, materials, research methods, and conceptual development, the project emphasizes creating a manufacturable, user‑centered solution that elevates both function and aesthetics in pediatric product design.
Key development requirements included integrating Design for Manufacturing (DFM), considering real-world production constraints, applying anthropometric data for children and caregivers, meeting regulatory safety standards, and identifying opportunities for unique, patentable features.
